I walked her to school every morning. I asked her to be my girlfriend and she said no. LOL. Today, I want to talk about a different girl that I went to school with. Her name is Linda. She was shy and quiet. That didn’t stop me. She told me her mother had left them and she told me that her father drank too much. I didn’t know what to say. But it made me so sad. One Christmas my parents asked me what I wanted. I wanted them to take me to the big department store and buy the biggest doll for,this girl…and they did. After school, I walked her home and gave her the present. She cried as she opened the box..Years later my family went to Morrisons Cafeteria. Behind the desserts, this woman called out my name. Yes it was that girl I gave the doll to. She told me that she gave the doll to her daughter. I don’t tell you this story to pat myself on the back…I just want to tell you …always lead with kindness.
