My third puzzle was the famous painting of Sunflowers by Vincent Van Gogh. The procedure was the same. Find the edges and work your way until you saw these flowers were just picked.
I did a lot of portrait puzzles of famous people, Abraham Lincoln and George Washington. Now I got a little more bold with my puzzle choices. The next puzzle that challenged me were the pyramids in Egypt. On the cover of the puzzle it showed three pyramids and little tiny people that are looking at the pyramids. I always wanted to visit the pyramids. A friend of mine did and said they were so mysterious. I watched a special on the building of the pyramids on the Discovery Channel. I was shocked at the fact that that it took hundreds of men to build these monuments to famous kings. I couldn’t believe how many people died while building them.
The next puzzle was the Eiffel Tower in Paris. This structure was quite amazing. It was designed by Stephen Sauvestre a French Architect. It took two years to build. 1887-1889. I have visited this tower several times. The elevator was quite small and it was packed. I had a camera in my pocket to take pictures. Someone in the elevator stole my camera. I couldn’t believe it. I also ate in the restaurant and feasted on a ham and cheese sandwich with sliced grapes.
I wonder what puzzles you have put together. There is a company now that you send a picture of you and your family and they actually make a puzzle of it. You now can do puzzles online. It is not as much fun as holding the pieces in your hand.
Life is like a puzzle….isn’t it. One piece represents your childhood and I know you were a beautiful baby. Do you have pictures of you when you were one or two years old….I bet you do.
Another piece represents your teenage years. As a teen you try so many different things. Maybe you tried smoking or had your first tequila shot. lol
Another piece represents your adult life. Every decade taught you a little something about yourself. Your 20s lead to your 30s and so on. Another piece represented you falling in love… Once or twice or even three times.
Another piece represents the friends you made. Are you still in touch with the people who you went to school with? I am. Another piece represents the sadness that you have been through in your life. This piece may have a few tears on it.
Another piece represents all the jobs you have had in your lifetime. I wonder if you were a waiter like me, or worked in a shoe store or maybe you served donuts….I mean who doesn’t love donuts?
There are times when the pieces of the puzzle fall on the floor. Don’t just stare at them pick them up immediately. Your puzzle represents your entire life and I hope you are living your life to the fullest.
Love,
Richard
