I love to watch movies where there is a wedding scene. In Father of the bride with Spencer Tracy and Elizabeth Taylor she wore a veil made with handmade lace. I never got to meet her but I saw her once getting out of a car.
Did you see Crazy Rich Asians? There is a wedding scene in there that tops them all. It was filmed in a church in Singapore. Instead of an aisle in the middle there was a long pond and the bride walked through the water before approaching the alter.
The guests were holding a long rod with butterflies at the end. A group of singers sang an Elvis tune I Can’t Help Falling in Love with You. How funny was Awkwafina in that movie?
The scariest movie I ever saw was the Bride of Frankenstein. It starred. Boris Karloff., and Elsa Lanchester. Her hair was two and a half feet tall and when she came to life… there was a white streak in the middle of her hair do. I know you have seen the Simpsons. Marge S has the same hair except it is blue. They once had me on the show as an animated character.
I wonder when you got married what song did they play for the first dance? Here are my favorites… Endless Love by Lionel Richie and Diana Ross…two hearts that beat as one. Are you getting s little teary eyed? There is Love by Peter Paul and Mary. At last by Etta James. Just the Two of Us by Grover Washington Jr, and Unforgettable by Nat King Cole.
I have danced with the bride to these tunes. I would hold them so tight and they would keep moving my hands. LOL. At a few weddings they wanted me to workout with the guests. And you know… I did it. I saw the huffing and puffing. Then I would single out people and bring them up to dance with me.
I once picked a lady who had a walker. Do you know she came right up and danced with the walker. She kept up with me.
Now I want to say something and I mean it from my heart. Many of us have been friends for a long long time. We could sort of say we are partners. I want to let you know that I am here for you in sickness and in health.
