Goodtimes also produced three books for me. The Farewell to Fat cookbook. Sweetie Pie…which was all low cal desserts and my autobiography Still Hungry After All These Years.

Goodtimes had a strong relationship with Walmart. I designed shirts, pants, and low fat and low calorie snacks. I was even invited to Arkansas to do a little class for all of Walmart’s shareholders. I met many of the Waltons who were so gracious to me.

My next videos were called Blast Off videos. They were 20 minute workouts when you could not do a full hour. We shot them at Slimmons … Another video we did was Sudor Mucho. Which means Sweat. A. Lot. The set was a Mexican Cantina. We danced to I need to Know, Mambo Number Five and Shake your Bon Bon.

The Carey brothers decided to close shop. Everyone said goodbye to me especially Lynn H. I just got a message from Lynn H. I remember getting the biggest hug from her as I got into the elevator and went to my car.

But another company came a callin ‘. The company was called Somerset… A large business from Canada. My next workout was called Party Off the Pounds .. The set was a two story shopping mall with all different kinds of stores. My dancers were looking at a television store then all of a sudden I popped out of the tv and started to dance to I Wanna Dance with Somebody.

We also sweated to If I Could Turn Back Time…Mickey…and. Like a Virgin. It was a big hit. My next one I did Boogie Down the pounds.. This was shot at Circus Disco in Los Angeles. I loved working out to Lady Marmalade. Hooked on a Feeling and Love Machine. Somerset said good bye to me after these videos.

Then I did Sweatin to the Oldies five with Time Life. This was another street set with people sitting on their porch and looking out of their windows. On the other side were large gates and trees. In the back was a playground with a teeter totter and a jungle gym.

I love these songs. We began with Soul Man. Then Hit the Road Jack, Think, These Boots are Made for Walking, and Heard it Through the Grapevine.

With this video we did Tonin to the Oldies. I designed toning cords that attached to your shoes We toned our whole bodies to Twist and Shout. Itsy Bitsy Teenie. Weenie Yellow Polka Dot Bikini, Stop in the Name of Love and one of my favorite songs Moon River. Audrey Hepburn sang it looking out in the street from the movie Breakfast at Tiffany’s…this is one lady I wish I would have met.

I wonder…. How did I dance to all of these unbelievable songs. Why did I do these videos….for you.

Love,

Richard
