This message will be hard to write so bear with me. When I was about 8, I was walking to school and I met a man. He had no legs. His fragile body was on top of a wooden board with four silver wheels. He was selling pencils out of a cup. I sat down on the cement and talked with him. With some of my allowance, I bought ten of his pencils. He asked me why I was buying so many pencils and I told him I was giving them away to kids in my class. He then picked out a pencil out of the cup and gave it to me as a gift. He made a big impact on my life. I looked around for him in the French Quarter and he was nowhere to be found. Please be kind to all physically and mentally challenged people.

Love,

Richard
